The Acousticom 2 was developed based on years of experience in the practical measurement of high-frequency electromagnetic waves. The device displays the measurement data by means of an LED display and, if required, as a sound signal. Despite the simple operation and understandable display of the measurement results, the device is equipped with a powerful high-frequency detector. The Acousticom 2 is smaller and lighter than our Acoustimeter and comes with a specially adapted carrying case. These properties make the Acousticom 2 a very helpful and practical measuring device with an excellent price / performance ratio.
Further information
The Acousticom 2 and the Acoustimeter use the same powerful HF detector. The Acousticom 2 also has an alarm function, which generates a pulsating warning signal when the load is high. Since 500 measurements are made per second, the device is very precise and can also detect short signal pulses.
Use
When the Acousticom 2 is started for the first time, it is silent. The sound can be easily switched on and off with the button. The alarm function can be deactivated very easily when switched on. Devices that emit pulsating high-frequency radiation can be identified on the basis of demodulated signals. If there are various radiation sources in the area, the Acousticom 2 shows the exact peak measurement across all frequencies. This is very important from a biological point of view, because above all the short but strong signal pulses harm our health.
Technical specifications • LED lights show the peak measurements of high-frequency electromagnetic radiation from 200 MHz to over 8000 MHz (8GHz). These are the frequencies that are emitted by most modern communication systems in our daily environment. These include TETRA, all mobile phones with 4G / LTE, smart meters and all WiFi and WiMax frequencies. All 5G frequency bands previously approved in Germany, Austria and Switzerland can also be measured. • Measuring speed: 500 times / second. • If two LEDs are displayed, the measurement amount is in the middle. For example, if the display lights up at 0.1 and 0.3 V / m, the value is 0.2 V / m. • Sensitivity (peak measurement display): 0.01 - 6.00 volts per meter (V / m) 0.01 / 0.02 / 0.05 / 0.1 / 0.3 / 1.0 / 3.0 / 6.0 V / m; (corresponds to 0.5 to 100,000 peak µW / m2) • Power supply: 1x PP3 / MN1604 9 volt alkaline battery or rechargeable NH-MH battery • Battery life: up to 10 hours with the normal alkaline battery • Low battery indicator (green “on” light turns red) • Size (mm): 110 x 63 x 21 (LxWxH); Weight: 140g including battery
